/Disability News Articles/ - Shelbyville, IN, June 6, 2008, Matthew Gregory Furzland, Behavior Analyst for The Columbus Organization, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of behavioral consultative services.

Mr. Furzland excels in conducting functional behavioral assessments and helping developmentally disabled individuals in crisis situations. He previously served as a behavior analyst consultant in Tennessee and has also been an exam item reviewer during the Behavior Analysis Certification Board Review Committee Meeting. Currently, Mr. Furzland is an article reviewer for the Journal of Precision Teaching and Celeration. His responsibilities include helping adults with disabilities and challenging behavior problems. He also communicates with several professional agencies at the state level to serve individuals in crisis situations. In addition, on-site visits are conducted to determine the correct course of action to be taken.

Mr. Furzland earned his Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from the St. Cloud State University in 2003 as well as his Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2001. Mr. Furzland is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He has conducted several presentations at the Association for Behavior Analysis International Conferences.

Mr. Furzland stays current with the trends in his profession by attending training programs and conferences offered by the Association for Behavior Analysis International, and by reading professional journals. He hopes to begin his own private consulting company in the future.
