Maxi-Aids' Money Talks Money Identifier Brings Latest Technology to the Blind & Visually Impaired Community
The 'Money Talks' Money Identifier, developed and distributed by Maxi-Aids, helps the blind and those with low vision live more active and independent lives by providing a tool to quickly and easily determine the denominations of US paper currency.

FARMINGDALE, NY, February 04, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elliot Zaretsky, President of Maxi-Aids, the industry-leading supplier of products for independent living, today introduced Money Talks, a talking money identifier that reads and announces the value of US bills between $1.00 and $100.00. Money Talks was designed to aid the blind and those whose visual impairments prevent them from seeing the denomination printed on paper currency.

"Unlike most foreign currencies, US bills all have the same dimensions and texture. The blind have no way to distinguish a one dollar bill from a twenty, for example," explained Mr. Zaretsky. "Money Talks is a portable, reliable handheld scanner programmed to recognize the dollar amounts printed on US currency and announce them."

Money Talks is easy to use, with a simple 2-button operation. Just switch the unit on, slide the money into the slot and touch the tactile "M" button. Money Talks will announce the denomination in a clear male voice. It can read $1.00, $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $50.00 and $100.00 bills - both the "old" US paper currency and the newer style, as well as both the front and back of the bills.

Volume and tone controls allow the user to adjust the sound to your ideal comfort level, plus earphones are included for listening privacy. A battery-saving "Auto Shut-Off" feature turns Money Talks off if it is not used for 3 minutes. It uses 3 AAA batteries, which are included, as are written and cassette tape instructions. It measures a compact 4-3/8" Long x 3-3/8" Wide x 1-1/8" Thick and comes with a Limited 1-Year Warranty.

Developed and distributed exclusively by Maxi-Aids, Money Talks brings the latest technology to the blind community. And at only $199.95, it is the most reasonable electronic money identifier available. "I'm proud to continue Maxi-Aids' tradition of putting innovative products in the hands of those who need them," says Mr. Zaretsky, who is also the inventor of the Click Pocket Money Brailler, a device that allows the blind to imprint paper currency with tactile markings indicating their denominations.
