Shirley A. Householder Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry
Despite suffering from hearing loss, she volunteers for the fire department on an on-call basis.

RONDA, NC, February 1, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Shirley A. Householder, Volunteer Firefighter for the Ronda Community Volunteer Fire Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of emergency rescue services.

An emergency medical technician and medical responder, Ms. Householder has been working with the Ronda Community Volunteer Fire Department for two years. Despite suffering from hearing loss, she volunteers for the fire department on an on-call basis and is responsible for overseeing safety operations in the community. She is proud to be one of the oldest volunteer at the fire department and has extensive experience as a first responder.

Ms. Householder served in the United States Air Force for one year and the Air National Guard for 10 years. A recipient of the First Responder of the Year Award, she attributes her success to her caring nature and feels privileged to be part of a great team. She volunteers as a Sunday school teacher for Ronda First Baptist Church and looks forward to becoming a paramedic.

Ronda Community Volunteer Fire Department has recently opened a second substation to help serve the community even better.
