Dennice Smith, CCC-SLP Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Dennice Smith has devoted her career to helping children communicate

IRVINGTON, KY, July 23, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dennice Smith, Speech Pathologist at Irvington Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of speech pathology.

As a speech pathologist at Irvington Elementary School, Ms. Smith is responsible for diagnosing and treating child speech and language disorders, working with students with autism, speech disorders, apraxia and cerebral palsy, and collaborating with teachers. She has previous experience working with special needs students and returned to school at the age of 32 to pursue her master's degree. She attributes her success to her work ethic, her desire to help students communicate and to being able to support teachers and students.

A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Ms. Smith received her Master of Science in Communication Disorders in 2001 and her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders. She is a member of the Kentucky Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She hopes to continue helping students and become more involved with children with autism.
