Marcos Vidal's industry accomplishments have earned him numerous awards

Marcos Vidal, MBA is a highly experience executive with over 20 years of senior-level experience in astute business analysis and profitable management in the insurance industry. He boasts extensive knowledge of operations management, budget management, strategic planning, multiple project management, long range planning, crisis management, financial management and sales & marketing in the Puerto Rican, Caribbean and Central American markets.
Mr. Vidal has been President, Partner and a Board Member of GBComp Insurance Inc., a health, life and disability insurance brokerage firm with $420 million in subscribed premiums, since 2008. From 2001 to 2008, he was President, Chief Executive Officer & Director of the Board of Directors of La Cruz Azul de Puerto Rico, Inc. (Blue Cross of Puerto Rico). Under his leadership, La Cruz Azul de Puerto Rico, Inc. became the first company in Puerto Rico to completely comply with HIPAA requirement and Mr. Vidal oversaw a host of achievements including the implementation of a stable and extensive provider network, a streamlining of the organization's operations and finance and the identification of claims recovery opportunities in the $10 million range. From 1990 to 2001, Mr. Vidal was Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Triple-S, Management Corporation. Some of his accomplishments during this period include increasing business volume by over $50 million, increasing AM Best and Standard & Poor classification from B to A-, and establishing the Management Trainee and Succession Plan Programs.

Mr. Vidal holds a Master Degree of Business Administration from Catholic University of Puerto Rico and a Bachelor of Economics from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. He is a Licensed Life & Health Insurance representative and is pursuing a property and casualty license through the Insurance Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. He has completed numerous professional training courses and attended industry seminars on a variety of topics.
