Thomas R. Mazanec helps facilitate independent living for adults with disabilities
GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH, September 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ --Thomas R. Mazanec, Manager of Brendan Manor, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in human services.
Motivated by a desire to make the world a better place for everyone, Mr. Mazanec joined Brendan Manor, a group home that specializes in independent living for adults with disabilities. In his current position since 2005, he is responsible for overseeing facility maintenance, assisting residents with medication, screening visitors, running errands, and handling emergencies and other duties. Originally set on a career as an astronomer, Mr. Mazanec realized that his Asperger's Syndrome would deter him from making the kind of contribution that he wanted to make, and so decided to redirect himself towards helping individuals who share his struggles. He is proud to have found a home for his talents at Brendan Manor, an establishment that is dedicated to nurturing the body, mind and spirit of its residents. He attributes his success to the support that he receives from his supervisor.
Mr. Mazanec earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science in 1983 from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Astronomy in 1980 from Case Western Reserve University. He is a member of CDP and Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church.
