NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL, November 3, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elizabeth Helene McNally, Disability Advocate for the National Federation of the Blind, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of her career.

Ms. McNally has 40 years of professional experience in blindness advocacy. At her current post, she advocates for disability, travels to conferences and agency meetings, works with legislators, networks with disabled and blind people, assists them with their concerns and educates the public on disabilities. She became involved in her profession because she is disabled and she wanted to educate the general public that disabled/blind people are just like everyone else.

She is a member of several boards, including the North Miami Beach Advisory Committee. In 2008, she received the Mayor's Rising Star Award from the "In Company of Women" Program and Lions Club International recognized her with the Melvin Jones Award for her work.
