Yvonne D. Jackson celebrates over 15 years in the physical therapy and medical field
DETROIT, MI, November 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ --Yvonne D. Jackson, MA, Ed.S., Physical Therapist for Detroit Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in physical therapy.
With 18 years of professional experience, Ms. Jackson specializes in pediatrics. She is responsible for working with special education students including those with cerebral palsy, performing orthopedic therapy and exercising and training children 14 through 19 years of age who are physically or cognitively disabled. She became involved in her profession because of her interest in making a difference in other people's lives. She attributes her success to her hard work, passion for her profession and her desire to promote her students to a level of success.
Ms. Jackson is pursuing her Doctor of Education in Teacher Leadership at Walden University and has obtained an Educational Specialist Degree and her Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Wayne State University. She is a member of the Detroit Police Family Association, Detroit Federations of Teachers, OT/PT Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and the American Physical Therapy Association. In the future, she intends to become a professor and teach in a physical therapy program at a community college or at Wayne State University.
