Debra L.T. Goodsmith Derives Fulfillment from Helping Special-Needs Students Reach their Full Potential

PLATTE CITY, MO, March 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Debra L.T. Goodsmith, Substitute Teacher for West Platte R-II School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in special education.

After years in military service, Debra L.T. Goodsmith decided that it was finally time to pursue a dream to teach that she had harbored since she was in the third grade. She joined West Platte R-II School District in 2006. As a substitute teacher, Ms. Goodsmith works with special-needs students, always striving to bring out the best in them by making the learning experience as pleasant as possible. She finds deep personal fulfillment in enabling students with disabilities to reach their maximum potential, and attributes her success in this endeavor to her compassion and earnest desire to help others.

A certified teacher in the states of Missouri and Texas, Ms. Goodsmith received her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education in 1985 from Northern Arizona University. She plans to continue substitute teaching and, possibly, take on a full-time teaching position.
