Margaret Ann Leoni has excelled for the past four years as vice president of regulatory affairs for the Massachusetts Senior Care Association
Newton Lower Falls, MA, March 9, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Margaret Ann Leoni, vice president of regulatory affairs for the Massachusetts Senior Care Association, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in healthcare management.
As a healthcare professional with 30 years of experience in her field, Margaret Ann Leoni has served for the past four years as vice president of regulatory affairs for Massachusetts Senior Care Association, a nonprofit organization that represents a diverse set of organizations that deliver a broad spectrum of services to meet the needs of older adults and people with disabilities. Among the association's members are nursing homes, assisted living residences and continuing care retirement communities, which together care for and employ more than 100,000 people in the state. With expertise in regulatory affairs, she oversees health and safety requirements on behalf of senior care facilities and educates facility staff and consumers on regulatory issues.
Ms. Leoni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Fitchburg State College, and is the recipient of an Outstanding Service Award from the U.S. Secretary for Health and Human Services. When not working, Ms. Leoni enjoys traveling, skiing and volunteering with local community organizations and public health and emergency preparedness programs. She works closely with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and is a senior fellow with the Council for Excellence in Government Programs. As one who attributes her success to her rational nature, ability to understand and communicate complex regulatory requirements and issues, and the support she receives from her collegues and networks, she hopes to continue to excel in her work.
